Add-on modules and adapters for retrofitting.

Q modules are separate add-on modules and impulse adapters with which you can extend the performance capabilities of our measuring devices. They enable existing heat meters and water meters to be integrated into the remote meter reading systems Q walk-by, Q AMR or Q M-Bus with little additional work and expense.

The fact that they can be retrofitted means that the useful life of the modules is not dependent on the legally prescribed operating life cycle of the measuring devices. For example, the add-on module for water meters can be used for up to 13 years.

Radio modules for water meters

Q module 5.5 water

Radio add-on Q module 5.5 water

The new Q module 5.5 water radio module enables the convenient upgrading of existing Modularis water meters for integration with a Q walk-by or a Q AMR system. It sets new benchmarks in terms of radio transmission. The launch of C-Mode has enabled the transmission range in standard buildings to be nearly doubled.

  • For the recording of consumption data by radio in ‘radio-ready’ hot or cold water meters
  • Can be fitted in initial assembly or for retrofitting
  • Parameter setting via optical interface (IrDA)
  • The meter reading of the mechanical counter and the electronically recorded value are always identical
  • Upgrade from S- to C-Mode in the field possible
  • Suitable for mechanical Modularis water meters from QUNDIS and other manufacturers (see datasheet)

Impulse adapters

Q M-Bus impulse adapter AEW310.2

Q M-Bus impulse adapter AEW310.2

Suitable for many types of meter

The Q M-Bus impulse adapter AEW310.2 enables the subsequent integration of consumption meters in a Q M-Bus system. Suitable for meters for warm or cold water, heat, gas and electricity.

The device records and processes the impulses from one or two consumption meters with impulse output. The consumption values can then be accessed by an M-Bus central unit via the M-Bus.

Q module Impulsadapter AEW 366

Q AMR impulse adapter AEW36.2

Making consumption meters radio-capable

The Q AMR impulse adapter AEW36.2 enables the subsequent retrofitting of consumption meters for consumption data recording by radio.

The adapter records and processes the impulses from one or two consumption meters with impulse output, enabling the data to be transmitted correctly to a network node within the building.

The AEW36.2 impulse adapter is a simple method of integrating consumption meters with impulse output into the Q AMR system. This covers meters for hot or cold water, gas, electricity and other media.

As a result it is no longer necessary to enter the flat and record reading values manually. The consumption data is read out via the network node or the smart meter gateway.

Q module Impulsadapter AEW 366

Q walk-by impulse adapter AEW366.2

Making meters smarter

The AEW366.2 impulse adapter processes the impulses from one or two consumption meters with impulse output and feeds the data into the Q walk-by system. This enables the integration of consumption meters with impulse output for hot or cold water, gas, electricity and other media.

Readout is implemented by radio on site without the use of network nodes. As a result it is no longer necessary to enter the apartment and record reading values manually.
