Q Module
Add-on modules and adapters for retrofitting.
Q modules are separate add-on modules and impulse adapters with which you can extend the performance capabilities of our measuring devices. They enable existing heat meters and water meters to be integrated into the remote meter reading systems Q walk-by, Q AMR or Q M-Bus with little additional work and expense.
The fact that they can be retrofitted means that the useful life of the modules is not dependent on the legally prescribed operating life cycle of the measuring devices. For example, the add-on module for water meters can be used for up to 13 years.

Radio add-on module Q module 5.5 heat
- For radio recording of consumption data by QUNDIS heat meters
- Radio telegrams for remote meter reading Q AMR and Q walk-by are transmitted simultaneously (365 days per year)
- Significantly improved radio performance compared with predecessor product WFZ16.O/WFZ166.O
- Available for initial fitting or retrofitting
- Parameterisation via optical interface (IrDA)
- Upgrade from S-Mode to C-Mode possible in the field
- Available as a set with QUNDIS heat meters
M-Bus add-on module for heat meters
M-Bus add-on module Q module M-Bus heat
- for periodically wired readout
- enables communication with a M-Bus central unit
- additional battery takes over power supply, in case of short-term failure of the M-Bus voltage
- parameter setting implemented directly via the M-Bus network
- suitable for compact heat meters of the Q heat 5 series and calculating units of the Q heat splitt series (R20/R21/R28)

Radio add-on modules for water meters
Radio add-on module Q module 5.5 water Modularis
The new Q module 5.5 water radio module enables the convenient upgrading of existing Modularis water meters for integration with a Q walk-by or a Q AMR system. It sets new benchmarks in terms of radio transmission. The launch of C-Mode has enabled the transmission range in standard buildings to be nearly doubled.
- For the recording of consumption data by radio in ‘radio-ready’ hot or cold water meters
- Can be fitted in initial assembly or for retrofitting
- Parameterisation via optical interface (IrDA)
- The meter reading of the mechanical counter and the electronically recorded value are always identical
- Upgrade from S-Mode to C-Mode possible in the field
- Suitable for mechanical Modularis water meters from QUNDIS and other manufacturers (see datasheet)
Radio add-on module Q module 5.5 water Allmess
The add-on radio module Q module 5.5 water Allmess enables the convenient upgrading of Allmess water meters (MK +m and V +m system) for integration in a Q walk-by or a Q AMR system. It sets new benchmarks in terms of radio transmission. The launch of C-Mode has enabled the transmission range in standard buildings to be nearly doubled.
- For the recording of consumption data of radio-ready Allmess hot or cold water meters by radio
- Can be used for initial installation or for retrofitting
- Parameterisation via optical interface (IrDA)
- Meter reading of the roller counter and electronically recorded value always identical
- Upgrade from S-Mode to C-Mode possible in the field
- Suitable for mechanical Allmess water meters of the systems “MK +m” and “V +m

Impulse adapters
Q M-Bus impulse adapter AEW310.2
Suitable for many types of meter
The Q M-Bus impulse adapter AEW310.2 enables the subsequent integration of consumption meters in a Q M-Bus system. Suitable for meters for warm or cold water, heat, gas and electricity.
The device records and processes the impulses from one or two consumption meters with impulse output. The consumption values can then be accessed by an M-Bus central unit via the M-Bus.

Q pulse R – pulse adapter
For receiving data in Q AMR and Q walk-by solutions from meters without radio transmission.
The Q pulse R pulse adapter seamlessly integrates consumption meters for water, heating/cooling and/or electricity with pulse output into a Q AMR system and offers maximum flexibility. Thanks to the integrated radio technology and NFC interface, parameterisation and readout are child’s play. For parameterisation purposes the “NFC Configurator” Android app, available from the Google Play store, is also available.
A major bonus: the Q pulse R offers the option of integrating a large number of meters from different manufacturers. In addition, interoperability through the OMS standard guarantees a wide range of compatibility. The IP 67 protection rating also guarantees reliable protection and durability.
Benefits:
- Recording and processing of pulses from a consumption meter with pulse output
- Integrated radio technology for integration into a Q AMR system
- Integrated NFC interface for simple parameterisation or readout
- Radio transmission of data
- Parameterisation via integrated NFC interface and Android app
- Configurable 1-channel pulse input
- OMS standard ensures interoperability
- Detection of cable damage or tampering
- 12-year battery life
