Q water
Smart water meters by QUNDIS.
QUNDIS water meters at a glance
QUNDIS supplies both mechanical and electronic water meters. These products – called Q water – reliably record the cold and hot water consumption within the building. Depending on the type of device and installation material, all our devices can be integrated with the water pipe on the surface or in the wall.
Our metering instruments offer great advantages for metering service providers and end users: thanks to our radio add-on modules, mechanical water meters can also be used for the complete automation of consumption data acquisition. All our meters offer optimum protection against tampering of any kind.
Benefits
Simplified annual billing
Automation of remote meter reading thanks to innovative radio technology.
Standardised interfaces
And therefore suited to practically every application.

The various types of water meter
We distinguish between mechanical and electronic water meters in our Q water products. The various advantages and disadvantages are outlined here:
Electronic water meters
- Annual consumption values are automatically saved on the readout date
- More transparency for tenants (they can check the stored values on the display)
- Various displays possible
- Monthly statistics are transmitted automatically
- Analysis of consumption behaviour possible
- Easy error detection by algorithms (e.g.: leaks are quickly detected)
- Tamper proof
Mechanical water meters
- Readout must be on the scheduled day
- The roller counter only shows the current reading
- Counts forwards and backwards
- Tamper proof
- Inexpensive to buy
- Upgradeable with QUNDIS radio add-on modul
- Extendable functions: storage of monthly statistics, automatic transfer of the annual consumption on the scheduled date
