Driving forward the energy turnaround together

Yesterday QUNDIS GmbH welcomed around 30 members of Thuringia’s renewable energies network (ThEEN) to its HQ in Erfurt. The main topic on the agenda for the 4th ThEEN conference was the implementation of the energy turnaround in the field of heating.

It is the aim of the State Government of Thuringia to increase the proportion of renewable energies in the heating of buildings from the current 20% to 35%. The state’s Energy Ministry is pursuing a dual strategy consisting of renovation work to improve energy efficiency and the increased use of renewable energies, with the long-term target of creating carbon-neutral buildings by the year 2050.

In addition to the political and regulatory framework conditions which are required for achieving savings and environmental targets, the conference also discussed the available technical possibilities. “With our digital metering systems for the recording of water and heating consumption we are supporting the objectives of Thuringia’s renewable energies network.

The QUNDIS metering devices make consumption transparent, promote energy-saving activities, boost efficiency and in doing so contribute to environmental protection”, states Dieter Berndt, Chairman of the Management Board at QUNDIS GmbH.
After completing their exchange of ideas on the energy turnaround the members of ThEEN toured the QUNDIS smart factory, and received some interesting impressions of the digitally networked production location.
