QUNDIS awarded the EU’s ecological seal of approval once more

The “EMAS seal” of the European Union is regarded as the highest award for corporate environmental protection. QUNDIS has once again successfully passed the audit carried out by environmental experts and has accordingly confirmed its position as a pioneer in terms of sustainability.

Among other things the environmental audit of QUNDIS highlighted the company’s exemplary handling of hazardous substances, energy-saving strategies, commitment to sustainability initiatives and non-polluting, well-organised production.

QUNDIS has achieved particular improvements in the areas of packaging and the documentation which accompanies its products: “In the past financial year we have been able to optimise the packaging of our equipment and achieve effective savings. In the case of our heat meters we achieved savings of around 1.3 tonnes of plastic and around 2.3 tonnes of paper,” says Frank Jünemann.

Further improvement projects for QUNDIS heat cost allocator and radio modules are currently being implemented and will be completed in the course of the next business year.

As part of the European Union’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), QUNDIS has issued an environmental declaration in which its direct and indirect environmental impacts, consumption of materials, energy requirements and also environmental goals are communicated transparently and publicly. QUNDIS has had the right to display the EMAS seal since 2015.
